The potential for Houthi attacks on commercial ships following Abdul Malik Al-
Houthi’s speech on November 21.

On November 20, 2024, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a formal condemnation of the Houthi missile attack on the Panama-flagged dry cargo vessel Anadolu S, operated by Turkish company Oras Shipping.

The Houthi forces have officially claimed responsibility for the missile strike on the vessel Anadolu-S.

On November 17 and 18, the Anadolu (IMO 9667758), a vessel registered under the flag of Panama, was targeted by Houthi forces.

Commercial ships should heighten surveillance, adjust routes, and maintain strong communication in high-risk zones from Friday to Sunday, due to increased threat levels following recent speeches and attacks.
